How to Use Sandstone Organic Steppers
Installation Steps
Design Your Pathway
Lay out the steppers on the ground first to test spacing and flow
Ideal spacing is around 40–60 cm apart, matching a natural stride
Mark and Dig
Trace around each stone
Excavate to the depth of the stone (usually 30–50 mm)
Level and Stabilise
Add a layer of crusher dust, sand, or road base underneath
Use a spirit level to ensure each step is flat and stable
Lay and Set the Stones
Place each stone into its base
Tap with a rubber mallet and make sure it's secure and flush with the surface
Backfill and Finish
Fill the gaps with soil, gravel, or groundcovers like creeping thyme or native grasses
