How to Use Brown Cracker Dust

Preparation

Prepare the area where you plan to use White Dust by clearing it of debris, plants, or other obstacles. If using it as a base for paving, ensure the surface is level and compacted.

Layering for Pathways or Driveways

For paths or driveways, spread a layer of White Dust (typically 50-100mm deep) over the prepared surface. Use a rake to distribute it evenly and compact the layer using a mechanical compactor.

Use for Paving

Spread an even layer of White Dust under pavers. The dust should be leveled and compacted before placing the pavers on top to ensure a stable and even base.

Weed Control

To control weeds, lightly spread a layer of White Dust over garden beds or between plants. It can be applied in a thin layer (approximately 10-20mm) to block sunlight and prevent weed growth.

Compaction

When using White Dust in pathways or driveways, it's important to compact it after spreading. Use a mechanical compactor to compress the dust into a firm, solid layer that will provide stability.

Benefits of Brown Dust

Stabilizes Surfaces - White Dust is known for its ability to stabilize surfaces and prevent shifting or settling of gravel and other materials. This makes it ideal for driveways, walkways, and patios, where a solid, durable base is needed.

Cost-Effective - White Dust is an affordable material, making it a budget-friendly option for large-scale landscaping or construction projects.

Low Maintenance - Once compacted and applied, White Dust requires very little maintenance. It stays in place, resists erosion, and does not require regular replenishment like organic materials (e.g., mulch).

Weed Prevention - Helps prevent weeds by blocking sunlight from reaching the soil, reducing the need for herbicides.

Environmentally Friendly - White Dust is a natural product making it an eco-friendly option for landscaping and construction projects. It is non-toxic and poses no harm to the environment.

Durable and Long-Lasting - White Dust is highly durable and resistant to wear, which makes it suitable for both high-traffic areas (like driveways or pathways) and areas that require long-lasting stability, like foundation backfills or erosion control.
